The very notion of idols was the beginning of immoral sexual activity. The invention of idols ruined human life.
For the beginning of fornication is the devising of idols: and the invention of them is the corruption of life.
Sexual immorality began when idols were invented. They have corrupted human life ever since they were first made.
For the source of wantonness is the devising of idols; and their invention, a corruption of life.
The invention of idols marked the origin of immorality; their discovery corrupted human life.
For the idea of making idols was the beginning of fornication, and the invention of them was the corruption of life;
For the idea of making idols was the beginning of fornication, and the invention of them was the corruption of life;
For the idea of making idols was the beginning of fornication, and the invention of them was the corruption of life;
For the idea of making idols was the beginning of sexual immorality, and the invention of them was the corruption of life,
For the idea of making idols was the beginning of fornication, and the invention of them was the corruption of life,
For the idea of making idols was the beginning of fornication, and the invention of them was the corruption of life,
For the beginning of fornication, that is, idolatry, which is ghostly (or spiritual) fornication, is the seeking out of idols, and the finding of those idols is the corruption of life. [The beginning forsooth of fornication is the out-seeking of maumets, and the finding of them is corruption of life.]
